My beloved Lucie can chase a plain piece of wadded up paper for hours. I tire chasing it after only 20 minutes. (-;

You are of course right, littleindian, Our brain feeds us all kinds of thoughts and feelings. I am in a mental dither much of the day about what I should be doing and what is happening in the world and how impotent I feel at times to figure out my place in the world. I just marvel at – and maybe learn a little from – the joy that simple things bring my Lucie and I’m sure your Ruff. Not that I would want to eat cat food from a dish on the floor, but she helps remind me to bring the intensity of brain whirr down a few levels and focus on what I can or can’t do/solve/understand/achieve right now. Doesn’t always help, but isn’t that the human condition?

Ronnie Ann, I think I understand when you say “…it’s never been done by her on this day at this minute”. Wish we could all be like that, unfortunately our creator decided to stuff this thing called the brain inside our heads and filled it up with rubbish like mind and feelings and desires…

Greetings littleindian. I think of you and send warm wishes. You’re right. It has all been said and done. And so often I wonder what I can ever add that’s special or makes any real difference. And yet I watch my sweet kitty, Lucie, and she doesn’t mind that chasing her cat dancer around has also been done before. As she tells me, it’s never been done by her on this day at this minute. I love how she can just be. And how she can just hug me no matter what. Maybe I will learn too one day. (-; Meanwhile, thanks for the Pink Floyd. I’m a big fan and this is a great song. Peace out, dude. Hugs to you and your pup from me and Lucie.
